About personal pronouns

In Estonian language, Teie (2nd person plural) and Te (short form) denote polite forms. They are used in formal situations, with elderly and strangers; also in official communication. The younger generation uses informal language with people their own age who they do not know, and informal terms of address are slowly becoming more widespread.
